Four Easy Ways to Take Unflavored Colostrum Powder

Unflavored colostrum is easy to fit into your day once you know the one rule that matters: keep it cold. Here are four simple ways to take it.

In short

Mix one scoop (2.3 g) of Colostrum+ into something cold once a day: water, a smoothie, yogurt or iced coffee. Never stir it into hot drinks.

What colostrum is

Colostrum is the first milk cows produce after calving. It naturally contains immunoglobulins, proteins such as IgG. Each scoop of Colostrum+ provides 2,300 mg of bovine colostrum, including 575 mg of IgG (25%), with no other ingredients and about 10 calories.

The one rule: keep it cold

Our label says to mix it in cold liquids only. Heat can change the delicate proteins in colostrum, so skip hot coffee, tea and just-cooked oatmeal.

Four easy ways to take it

  1. Shaken into cold water or milk. The quickest option: 6 to 8 oz of cold water or milk in a shaker bottle. It tastes mild and slightly milky.
  2. Blended into a smoothie. Add a scoop at the end of blending. Fruit, yogurt and protein powder all hide its taste completely.
  3. Stirred into yogurt or overnight oats. Mix it into cold yogurt or into overnight oats once they come out of the fridge.
  4. In iced coffee or cold brew. Stir it into the milk first, then pour over the coffee and ice.

Tips for a smooth mix

  • Stir the powder into a splash of liquid to make a paste, then top up. This avoids clumps.
  • A shaker bottle or small milk frother works better than a spoon.
  • Pick one time of day and stick with it. One scoop daily is the serving on the label.

Good to know

  • Colostrum+ is made from milk, so it is not dairy-free.
  • Do not mix with hot liquids.
  • Store in a cool, dry place with the lid closed.

Colostrum+ also features in our Gut & Digestive Health and Immune & Healthy Aging bundles.
